Description
Glutinous rice, also known as sticky rice or sweet rice, is a type of rice grown mainly in Southeast and East Asia, where it has been cultivated for centuries. Unlike regular rice, glutinous rice contains a higher amount of amylopectin, a component of starch that gives it a sticky and chewy texture when cooked. It does not actually contain gluten, despite the name “glutinous.”
